One week into traveling through Peru, we, Rossella and Kristin, were texting a Starting Over moment...unbeknownst to us.
Families sometimes form when you least expect them.
We first met in 2015, brought together in Silicon Valley by the loss of a family member. What began as a gathering of people meeting for the first time quickly became something much more. There was an instant connection, and from that moment on, an inseparable family bond was formed.
Coincidence? We don’t think so.
Rossella and Kristin were meant to meet, become family, and ultimately share their stories through Starting Over.
The Storytellers
A self-described '60s college dropout, Kristin discovered her true calling as a writer, interviewer, and oral historian. For more than 30 years, she’s helped individuals, families, and organizations preserve their stories through memoirs, oral histories, and books. Her work has included interviews with notable figures such as Robert De Niro and has earned recognition in journalism, publishing, and documentary filmmaking. Today, she continues helping others capture the stories that deserve to be remembered.

Kristin Delaplane
Rossella, a recovering yuppie, began her career as a biochemist before discovering her passion for people centric roles: sales, marketing, and coaching. She spent decades guiding leaders and teams through transformation when she first founded Corporate Wisdom and later served as a Performance and Culture Strategist at Stanford Graduate School of Business. Her life has been shaped by many fresh starts, inspiring her to co-author Starting Over, a dual memoir about embracing life's unexpected crossroads.
